Organic Whole Bean & Ground Coffee dark roast
Our classic medium and dark roast, whole bean coffee blend is rich, aromatic and delicious, handpicked from farms in the mountains of Uganda, where we do right by our planet as we take sustainability seriously, from our recipes to our packaging, to our shops and supply chain.
Grown for over 50 years in a socially and environmentally responsible way, by farmers in the mountains of Elgon accessed through Budari, Mbale-Sironko District, Uganda, with the ethos of creating sustainable businesses our farmers and the community can depend on. Coffee by CML work together with farmers as we build relationships to help support the next generation of coffee farmers.
The coffee is roasted in Buziga, Kampala, Uganda
Red cherry beans are carefully hand picked from the coffee tree, the outer red layer is removed (Pulping Process), then washed in water and fermented for 24 hours:-
*Fermentation removes all probiotics
*Fermentation refines the sweetness, body & acidity of coffee
After 24 hours the coffee is dried in the sun on a raised coffee net platform for 1 to 2 weeks, after the drying process the coffee is Hulled removing the shell white layer (parchment) to produce the Green Beans which is roasted for drinking
Medium and Dark Roast, whole bean: rich aroma, bold, yet smooth
Sizes available are 250g, 500g and 1kg
